Anna the solo traveler from Russia have been visited Yogyakarta Java Indonesia. Around mid-February 2022 there was an email to me who needed transportation in the city of Yogyakarta. With a happy feeling because there was a guest who came in. I immediately replied to his email and I directed him to continue communication via WhatsApp, and it turns out he is a solo traveler. I was grateful to God that she agreed to the price I offered and we agreed to take a 2-day tour of the city of Yogyakarta. The day I had been waiting for arrived, with great enthusiasm I went to the hotel where she was staying. A nice and relatively new hotel in the north of the city of Yogyakarta, precisely in Sleman district, with the name Alana Hotel.
The day arrived when we agreed to meet, and I was very excited to start the day. About 40 minutes drive to the hotel, I arrived at the Alana hotel, I immediately entered the lobby. After waiting a few minutes finally my guest came out. How surprised I was, it turned out to be a young woman around 30 years old. With a beautiful face, typical of a Russian face. As soon as she approached I shook hands introducing myself, her soft hands and beautiful smile made me very enthusiastic to chat longer. I headed to the car in the hotel parking lot, while Anna [my guest’s name and she is solo traveler] waited in front of the hotel lobby.
Russian Solo Traveler
Oh yeah i forgot to say that my guest is named Anna and she is solo traveler, Her profession is as a manager in a beauty clinic. Okay we started to leave the hotel and headed to yogyakarta palace, our first destination. As usual i always actively chat with all my guests in the car. I told about yogyakarta culture, history and culinary, to Anna solo traveler. Not long after we arrived at yogyakarta palace. i parked my car and coincidentally there were not so many visitors coming.
After Anna as a solo traveler finished visiting the Yogyakarta palace, we continued our journey to Taman sari. The location of Taman Sari is only 5 minutes by car from the palace. Once we arrived at Tamansari, we immediately entered the location, but first we bought tickets. Anna as a solo traveler was very impressed with the old buildings in Taman sari, seen from her radiant face. After Anna as a solo traveler was satisfied with going around Taman sari. We immediately got out of Taman sari and headed to the car park.
As Anna as a solo traveler walked towards the car, she saw a street meatball seller near the car park. Anna asked me if I could try the meatballs before continuing my journey to Prambanan Temple. I happily accompanied her to eat the meatballs. We immediately went in and ordered 2 bowls of meatballs and 2 iced teas. Anna as a solo traveler really liked the taste. The combination of beef, noodles, dry meatballs and the broth was so fresh. According to Anna as a solo traveler, it was her first time eating meatballs. After finishing eating the meatballs, we immediately headed to Prambanan Temple.

Anna, a solo traveler, had always dreamed of visiting Indonesia. When she finally got the chance, she was determined to see as much as possible. One of the places she was most excited about was Prambanan Temple. Java Temple Tour is super tour packages that can be explored on the Java Island.
As a solo traveler, Anna approached the ancient temple complex, she couldn’t help but marvel at its grandeur. The intricate carvings and towering structures were even more impressive than she had imagined. Anna as solo traveler, she wandered through the grounds, she couldn’t resist taking countless photos
This is truly amazing,” she thought to herself, as she snapped a selfie in front of one of the main temples
As the sun began to set, Anna as solo traveler found a quiet spot to sit and enjoy the view. She couldn’t believe how lucky she was to be in such a beautiful place. As she looked up at the starry sky, she made a wish. “I hope I can come back to Indonesia soon,” she whispered. After enjoying Prambanan Temple, we immediately headed to the car to return to hotel. In the car, we discussed the itinerary for the next day. Its was a beautiful day with beautiful solo traveler from Russia.
Balalaika Beats at Borobudur Temple
Time flies so fast, it’s already the second day of the tour with Anna, a solo traveler from Russia. After a while, we left the hotel and continued our journey to Borobudur Temple. After driving for about 1 hour from the hotel, we arrived at Mendut Temple. Before continuing our journey to Borobudur Temple, I offered Anna, as a solo traveler, to stop by for a while at Mendut Temple. Anna as a solo traveler enjoyed Mendut temple and Buddy’s ministry which is next to Mendut temple. After finishing, we continued to Borobudur temple.
After we reach Borobudur temple, we can’t wait to straight go into the temple. Anna as solo traveler had always been fascinated by ancient civilizations and architectural marvels, Borobudur was no exception. She was captivated by the intricate carvings that adorned the temple walls, depicting scenes from the life of Buddha and the teaching of Buddhism. she was mesmerized by the sheer size and grandeur of the structure, which seamed to rise up to towards the heavens like a giant pyramid. Java Temple Trip is superior tour packages that can be explored on the Island of java Indonesia.
After finishing enjoying Borobudur temple we returned to hotel. During the trip we also chatted about the tourist attractions that we had visited. I also told Anna as solo traveler that there were still many other tourist attractions in Jogja that she had not visited. And finally Anna as the solo traveler wanted to continue the tour with me, but she wanted to try another sensation, using a motorbike. Yeahhh i was happy and we planned to visit the Dieng Plateau.
Two Wheels, One World

The third day of the adventure by motorbike began. Departing early from the Alana Hotel and heading straight to the Dieng Plateau. We planned to stay one night in the Dieng Plateau, so this trip was not rushed. In the middle of the trip I told Anna as a solo traveler to stop for lunch at my friend’s house, which is in Sapuran Village, Wonosobo. During the trip we were treated to beautiful views, and of course we often stopped to take photos or videos.
Not long after that we arrived at my friend’s house for lunch. It so happened that the day before I had ordered a whole ingkung chicken and super spicy raw chili sauce, hehehe. The three of us ate lunch heartily, while telling stories about the fun of riding a motorbike from Jogja to Wonosobo. After finishing eating and telling stories, we continued our journey to the Dieng Plateau. It turned out that my friend named Subchan wanted to follow us to Dieng and accompany us to see the sunrise at Sikunir Hill, Dieng.
I was very happy because my friend joined this trip. Not long after I said goodbye to Subchan to continue my trip and Anna as a solo traveler. In the middle of the trip we decided to visit a famous tea plantation. We took pictures and occasionally took selfies or videos, like a young couple who were enjoy the moment, hahaha. I remember my wife. We didn’t stay long in the tea plantation, we arrived at ding plateau. The firs destination was the Arjuna Temple.
Dieng Plateau with Solo Traveler from Russia

Anna as a solo traveler also enjoyed the Arjuna Temple and other Temples in the same complex. As a tourist who loves culture and history of Indonesia, Anna as a solo traveler also went around the temple complex with great enthusiasm. We both spent time together at the Arjuna temple before checking in to the hotel. After the sun had gone down, we left the temple complex to go to the hotel.
I and Anna the solo traveler stayed at the same hotel, a simple but comfortable hotel, sorry I forgot the name of the hotel. We decided to take a break, while waiting for my friend Subchan to come to accompany us. After about 1.5 hours Subchan came and we both went out to find dinner together. At that time we decided to eat fried rice together, because not too many [ warung ] stalls were open.
After enjoying dinner and chatting, we went back to the hotel to rest, because we would wake up early to see the sunrise at Sikunir Hill. In my opinion, who usually lives near the beach which is known for its hot weather, I felt very cold in Dieng. luckily I brought a thick jacket, and I asked for a double blanket at the hotel reception.
Sunrise with Solo Traveler
In a deep sleep, I woke up to the sound of the alarm, it turned out to be 2.45 in the morning. Time to wake up and get ready to go to Sikunir Hill. I, Subchan and Anna as solo travelers agreed to leave the hotel at 3 am. After everyone was done packing, we immediately headed to Sikunir Hill by motorbike. throughout the trip I felt cold, I saw the air temperature was around 7 degrees Celsius. Dieng is famous for its thick fog, and it was true, not long after we rode the motorbike, the fog came down and was very thick. So we had to drive slowly so as not to fall into the ravine.
Not long after we rode our motorbikes, we arrived at Sikunir Hill. I, Subchan and Anna, the solo traveler, enjoyed hot tea and fried tempeh before climbing Sikunir Hill. The weather was cloudy and foggy, so we decided to immediately walk to the hill. The struggle began, facing the cold night and gasping for breath, indicating that I rarely exercise, Haha.
After struggling to climb a fairly high hill [for my opinion], I, Subchan and Anna the solo traveler reached the top. It was so happy and we enjoyed the beautiful view from the top of the hill. Anna the solo traveler kept saying..”wow the view here is really beautiful”. From the top of Sikunir Hill we can see several mountains in Central Java, such as Sumbing, Sindoro and even Mount Merapi. After being satisfied with taking photos, videos and resting, we immediately went down to the motorbike parking lot, to continue to the next destination.
Bukit Ratapan Angin

Anna as the solo traveler, had always dreamed of exploring mystical lands of Java Island. When she finally found herself standing at the edge of Bukit Ratapan Angin in Dieng plateau. She knew her dream came true. The panoramic view of the emerald green hills and the simmering telaga warna below was so beautiful. I, Subchan and Anna as solo traveler enjoy the time while eating snacks and sometime smoking, hehe don’t imitate this is not good for your health.
As a solo traveler she stood there, camera in hand capturing every angle of the stunning landscape. The wind whipped through her hair, carrying with it the scent of pine and sulfur. She’d been told that the name ” ratapan angin ” meant the weeping wind in Indonesia, but to her, it sound more like a cheerful whistle. ” Oh ding, you have stolen my heart ” she exclaimed, her voice carried away by the wind.
That’s more or less Anna admiration as solo traveler for the beauty of Dieng. After enjoying the view from the top of the hill, we headed to telaga warna. Anna as a solo traveler was curious about the water that could change when exposed to sunlight.
Telaga Warna with Solo Traveler
Anna as a solo traveler had read about the lake’s unique feature its ever changing colors. The water, depending on the angle of the sunlight and the mineral content, would shift from a deep emerald green to a vibrant turquoise, and sometimes even to a muddy brown. Anna also knows that telaga warna contains legendary folklore.
According to local folklore, the lake was once home to a beautiful princess who fell in love with a mortal. When their love was forbidden, they chose to jump into the lake together, and their spirits were said to be forever trapped within its depths. In the lives of the dieng people, they still believe in other folk tales. Apart from that, Anna as a solo traveler was very impressed with the telaga warna.
As Anna a solo traveler walked along the lakeshore, she passed by steaming fumaroles and bubbling mud pools. The landscape was both beautiful and otherworldly, and Anna couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe. She took countless photos, trying to capture the beauty of the place, but she knew that no image could truly do it justice. After enjoying the lake we headed to kawah sikidang.
Sikidang crater with Solo Traveler

“Come on, Anna, it’s getting warmer here!” I exclaimed, gesturing toward the bubbling mud pools of Sikidang Crater. Anna, a solo traveler from Russia, looked at me with wide, curious eyes. Her bright red scarf was a vibrant splash of color against the muted hues of the volcanic landscape. As we walked closer to the crater, the smell of sulfur became stronger. Anna the solo traveler wrinkled her nose but didn’t complain. “It’s like a spa for the Earth,” she joked, her English surprisingly good.
I explained to her how the mud pools were formed by volcanic activity and that the local people believed they had healing properties. “You can even cook an egg in these pools,” I said, pointing to a spot where steam was rising particularly high.
Anna the solo traveler laughed. “I’m not sure I want an egg cooked in volcanic mud, but I’ll definitely try the mud bath later.
We wandered around the crater, marveling at the strange and beautiful formations created by the geothermal activity. The landscape was otherworldly, with its bubbling mud pools, steaming fumaroles, and colorful mineral deposits. After being satisfied enjoying the Sikidang crater, we rushed to the hotel to check out and return to Yogyakarta.
Two Wheels, One Dream
After completing the administration at the hotel, we prepared to check out of the hotel and star the journey by motorbike to Yogyakarta. It took about 3,5 hour from Dieng to jogja and of course we always stopped for rest and stretch our legs. On the way home we stopped at Subchan house to drink coffee and rest for a while. After getting enough rest we continue our journey to yogyakarta.
In the middle of the journey to jogja, suddenly Anna the solo traveler, asked to stop for a moment because there was phone call from her husband. we stoped at the side of the road and I started smoking, heheh. After her husband finished calling, Anna as the solo traveler looked gloomy and sad. I tried to ask, it turned out that what made her sad was that Russia and Ukraine had started a war. I was surprised to hear that and I was silent for a moment thinking about how to comfort Anna.
Anna told me again that at this time she probably could not use the card for all financials transaction. She also seamed disappointed because Anna should have paid off the hotel she rented. After a while I finished thinking, I gave Anna the solo traveler a solution on how to get out. I offered Anna to stay at my house until everything was back to normal again, so could continue vacation. Finally Anna agreed with my opinion, after the drama was over we continued out journey to Jogja.
Little Biters, Big Expectation
Today, I and the mosquitoes are waiting for Anna the solo traveler arrival. My wife and I have been cleaning the room that Anna the solo traveler will use to stay. Starting from changing the sheets, pillow cases, and drying the mattress, so that Anna can rest comfortably. We also prepared mosquito spray to prevent mosquitoes coming. Actually there is only one mosquito but they have many friends, hehehe.
After a long wait, Anna the solo traveler arrived, She used online transportation service. Mixed feelings were visible on her face, between sad and happy. After Anna finished entering her room, she came out and I offered to have lunch with my family. We ate local dishes that my beloved wife had prepared. We also talked about how the trip we had done and told stories his family. After finishing eating we also spent time walking around the village. Oh ya I live Daleman, Gilangharjo Pandak Bantul Yogyakarta.
The sun is going down and I and my wife planned to invite Anna as a solo traveler to have dinner at an authentic place. We will invite her to eat fried rice at Jodog market, that my house is close to the traditional market. In the morning its busy with sellers of vegetables, fruits and other thing, while in the evening there are several food stall or warung.
Make Yourself at Home

Anna a solo traveler with a different culture background, will certainly exprerience culture shock when in another country. This is what I see from the awkward and confused feeling that Anna shows. Actually I have prepared vegetables, eggs and rice, so when she want to cooked her self she can do feel like home. There is something funny when Anna and my wife cook together, because its like I have two wife hahaha.
Today after breakfast I will take Anna as a solo traveler for motorbike ride to visit kembang soka waterfall in kilo pogo district. Anna also happy followed my invitation, and we immediately set off. After about 1 hour drive, we arrive at the kembang soka waterfall and when she finally caught sight of the waterfall, she was awestruck. The cascading water was a mesmerizing sight, and the natural pool below was cool.
Anna the solo traveler spent hours swimming in the pool, and simply enjoying the beauty of nature. She couldn’t believe how lucky she was to have found such a hidden gem. The local were incredibly friendly and she even learned a few words of Bahasa. As the sun began to set, Anna the solo traveler knew it was time to head back and we drove motorbike again to home.
Solo Traveler Delight

Anna, a solo traveler had been exploring the culture riches of java for several days. Being a seasoned traveler, Anna was always eager to experience local cuisine. ” I’ve heard so much about Indonesian street food,” she had said earlier I can’t wait to try some. As we drove through the countryside, I noticed a small warung on the side of the road. This a great place to try lotek, my suggestion. Pointing to the simply eatery, lotek is the traditional Indonesian salad made with various vegetables and peanut sauce. This is a popular street food in java island, Anna as a solo traveler said yes, lets try.
We parked the motorbike and entered the warung. The place was simple with just a view plastic tables and chair. The air was filled with the aroma of vegetables freshly ground spices. We ordered our lotek and took a seat. When the food arrived, Anna as a solo traveler can’t wait to try. She carefully selected a bit of everything, from the tempe to the long beans. With each spoonful, her eyes grew wider in delight. “This is amazing ” she exclaimed. “The flavors are so complex and the peanut sauce incredible”
As we chatted over our meal, Anna as the solo traveler told me about her travels and her passion for experiencing different culture. She was particularly interested in learning about Indonesian cooking and had already taken a cooking class with my wife. After finishing our lotek, we continued our journey back to Bantul.
Bakso is the best

Anna the solo traveler third day at my house, as usual Anna woke up earlier than me. She has started to get used to the culture in Jogja, and she can already shop at the traditional market by herself. Every morning Anna walks to the market to buy traditional food that Anna has never tried before. When she saw a meatball seller at the market, Anna was curious about the taste, but didn’t dare to try it because usually Anna asks me first if she wants to buy something.
In the afternoon when it was time for lunch, I took Anna as a solo traveler to meatball warung that was famous and busy with customer. It so happened that the meatball warung was near my house. So we road our bicycles around the village to get to the meatballl warung.
As we waited for our order, Anna and I chatted about her travels and my city. She was amazed by the diversity of Indonesian cuisine and eager to try as many dishes as possible. When our bakso arrived, we dug in, slurping up the flavorful broth and savoring the tender meatballs. “This is incredible!” Anna exclaimed, wiping a stray bit of sauce from her chin. “I’ve never had anything quite like it.” We laughed together as we continued to eat, sharing stories and recommendations
Fishing and Sunbathing

Anna’s fourth day at my house, this time to fill the time so as not to get bored, I invited Anna as a solo traveler to fishing at Gua Cemara Beach, Bantul. After finishing preparing the fishing equipment, we immediately went to the beach. For your information, Anna did not fish but she will sunbathe on the beach, while waiting for me to fish.
The salty breeze carried the rhythmic lapping of waves against the shore as I stood on the sandy beach, my fishing rod poised. Beside me, Anna, the solo traveler, was sprawled on a colorful beach towel, her skin slowly darkening under the warm tropical sun.
“You know,” Anna said without looking up from her book, “I’ve never understood the appeal of fishing. It seems so… patient.”
I chuckled. “Patience is a virtue, Anna. And besides, there’s something incredibly satisfying about feeling that tug on the line, knowing there’s a fish on the other end.
She shrugged, her eyes still glued to the pages. “Well, each to their own. I prefer the tranquility of simply being here, feeling the sun on my skin.”
nodded, watching as a seagull circled overhead. I cast my line out once more, letting the bait drift with the current. The sun beat down on my back, and I could feel the tension in my muscles easing. As the sun going down, its time to going back home.
Until We Meet Again
Time flies, it turn out today is Anna the solo traveler is last day in jogja and she will continue her vacation to another place. We’d only known each other for two weeks, but it felt like a lifetime. Anna, with her bright blue eyes that sparkled like the Sea and had become an instant friend. We’d spent our days exploring hidden corners of the city, sharing secrets over cups of steaming coffee.
I still remember the day we met. She was standing outside the hotel, her backpack slung over one shoulder, looking a little lost. I’d struck up a conversation, and before I knew it, we were inseparable. We’d talked about everything under the sun from our dreams and aspirations to our deepest fears.
Now, as I stood on the platform, watching her train disappear into the distance, a wave of sadness washed over me. I knew that this was probably goodbye. The chances of us meeting again seemed slim. Yet, as I thought about all the wonderful memories we’d made together, I couldn’t help but smile.
I would never forget Anna. She had taught me so much about life, love, and friendship. And even though we were miles apart, I knew that she would always hold a special place in my heart. God bless you ANNA !! The solo traveler.
“Anna are happy to provide a reference for my business and tours – please ask me if you would like to make contact with her and I will provide their details.”
