Holiday Atmosphere in the City of Yogyakarta – Wednesday, March 26, 2025, I had guests from Padang City, West Sumatra, precisely in the Purus Kebun area. They are my cousins from my father’s family, A father and 2 daughters. Their arrival was to celebrate Eid al-Fitr together with my extended family in Yogyakarta. It was a struggle to get to Yogyakarta. Because they had to travel for approximately 2 days and 2 nights by land from Padang to Yogyakarta. At that time they arrived home in the afternoon before breaking the fast. My brother had to drive alone, so the arrival in Yogyakarta was slower. Because he had to stop to rest. Eid or Eid al-Fitr is a big moment that we wait for once a year. During Eid many relatives who live far away to outside the island will return and gather to relieve their longing.
Visit Ngobaran Beach and Sultan Palace in Yogyakarta City
On March 27, 2025 after the morning prayer, we visited Ngobaran Beach in Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta just to take pictures at the temple on Ngobaran Beach. Yogyakarta has a long coastline and has 2 types of sand colors, black sand in the Bantul area to Kulon Progo and white sand along the Gunungkidul coast. After we were satisfied enjoying the beach, we continued our journey to the Yogyakarta palace. Because it was the fasting month, we didn’t stop to enjoy the delicious grilled fish on the famous Ngrenehan beach. Approximately 1.5 hours drive from the beach to the Yogyakarta palace. Along the way we passed beautiful mountains after we got there we went straight to the ticket counter to buy tickets.
The Yogyakarta palace is a tourist attraction that must be visited when we are in the city of Yogyakarta. After being satisfied visiting the Yogyakarta palace. We moved to Malioboro Street, to spend the day. Friday, March 28, 2025 we decided to visit relatives who live in the Yogyakarta area to relieve our longing. And today when i write this article, on Saturday march 20, 2025 they moved to a relative’s house in Boyolali Central Java. Actually they still want to stay long in jogja, but with time constraints they have to continue their journey to another place.
