The second time Mrs. Simona came to Indonesia, the first time in Bali and the second time in Java. In mid-April 2025, Mrs. Simona contacted me to ask about a private tour and driver in Yogyakarta. I was happy to respond to her wishes. On June 25, Mrs. Simona wanted transportation to visit Borobudur and Prambanan temples. Then she also wanted to visit the Dieng Plateau on June 27, 2025. I agreed and made an agreement with her. Mrs. Simona came with her son and had visited several tourist attractions in Jakarta, West Java and finally in Yogyakarta before returning to Italy. A mother-son adventure in Yogyakarta and Central Java. The time came and I myself took them to explore Yogyakarta. Our first destination was to Puntuk Setumbu Hill to see the sunrise, then to Borobudur Temple, Mendut Temple, Pawon Temple and finally Prambanan Temple.
We left the hotel in Yogyakarta at 3:30 am. That morning the weather was not good, cloudy and the sun was not visible, nature did not seem to support it. After finishing the tour at Borobudur Temple and its surroundings, we immediately headed to Prambanan Temple. I took them to take a shortcut to avoid the fairly busy traffic. In the middle of the trip I stopped at a salak plantation in Sleman Yogyakarta to show them what a salak tree looks like.
It was their first time seeing a salak tree and salak fruit. After finishing enjoying the salak fruit, we immediately continued our journey to Prambanan Temple. Before entering the Prambanan Temple complex, we stopped at a restaurant on the edge of the river. The delicious food menu and beautiful atmosphere made the guests feel comfortable. After finishing enjoying lunch, we immediately headed to Prambanan Temple.
A mother-son adventure explore Dieng Plateau
The 2nd day of the tour was on June 27, 2025 to explore the Dieng Plateau. The distance traveled by car from Yogyakarta to Dieng is around 3.5 hours. We left the hotel at 7.15 am and headed straight to the Dieng Plateau. Along the way they enjoyed the beautiful natural scenery. Rows of mountains and terraced rice fields, and cool air.
The first destination after we arrived in Dieng was the Arjuna temple complex, continued to Sikidang Crater and finally at the Ratapan angin hill to see the beautiful view of the lake Telaga Warna from the top of the hill. After they were satisfied exploring the dieng plateau we went back to the hotel in Yogyakarta. Two days of travel with them was truly a beautiful adventure. We told each other about everything.
