The Hindu temple is as old as temples in Dieng Hills that were built about 70-90 AD. The first restoration of the temples was done in 1928. Actually, the temple complex got nine temples that were built one in each level of the hill. That is why the temples are named Gedong Songo, which means ‘nine buildings’. However, the complete archeological remains just remain five temples in complete parts with kinds of Hindu’s god statues inside the rooms. The other four temples just remain the foundation ruins.
